Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru
« Les Peuillets »

Pretty ruby colour; its nose opens with highly note of red and black fruits, and then develops smooth tannins in the palate. Elegant, refined and its harmonious structure integrated all the quality of this appellation.

Situation

Les Peuillets is situated at the south-east of Savigny-lès-Beaune's village. The vineyard has 250 meters of altitude; it is planted on low slopes.

Terroir

The vineyard is planted on a clay and chalky soil, rich in sand.

Cepage

Pinot Noir.

Age vigne

35 years.

Winemaking

100% harvested by hand - Vatting time: about twenty days then ageing in oak barrels during 12 months - 3 to 4 months in stainless steel vats then bottling.

Production

600 to 800 bottles.

Conservation

Fruity in its younger days, cellar potential for many years.

Service

To be served in large balloon-shaped glasses around 15°C.

Accords

It is recommended with beef piece, white meats or delicate cheeses.
