Pernand-Vergelesses
« Les Combottes »

Bright gold colour; it is a mineral and an elegant white wine. It has a delicate nose of fresh fruit aromas. Good balanced wine with freshness, intensity and long finish. Its mouth has a smooth and rich evolution when fatness comes with the necessary acidity for a good preservation.

Situation

Located in the north of the Côte de Beaune, on the top of a south-west facing valley, the slope take place at about 350 meters high. “Les Combottes” is a diminutive of “combe”, coomb, which refers to the valley character of this plot.

Terroir

That high slope offers rich and deep terroirs. Soils are composed of white stones and marl.

Cepage

Chardonnay.

Age vigne

25 years.

Winemaking

100% harvested by hand - Ageing in oak barrels during 10 months then bottling.

Production

Between 2 500 and 3 000 bottles according to the year.

Conservation

This wine is at its best between 2 and 8 years.

Service

Between 12 and 14°C; aerate the wine in a balloon or tulip-shaped glass with thin sides to bring out the robe and aromas.

Accords

Nice wine pairing with charcuterie, hot starter, any fish, grilled or with a sauce, goat or blue cheeses.
