Aloxe-Corton

Dark and deep colour, this wine is introducing mature red fruit aromas such as black cherry and blackberry. His deep soil gives it a vigorous and well-balanced palate. Full bodied Pinot Noir, robust and refined. The mouth is revealing a firm and well-built body, rich, with pleasant tannins.

Situation

This cuvee is a blend of two plots located in the heart of the village Aloxe-Corton, next to the prestigious appellations of Premiers Crus and Grand Cru. The vineyard get a perfect wine-growing location. Its generous terroir gives to the wine finesse and strength.

Terroir

The Corton hill reveals a various and exemplary geology. The soil is reddish brown with flint and limestone debris mixed in, and is rich in potassium and phosphoric acid. Rocky soils favours complex wines.

Cepage

Pinot Noir.

Age vigne

45 years.

Winemaking

100% harvested by hand - Vatting time: about twenty days then ageing in oak barrels during 12 months - 3 to 4 months in stainless steel vats then bottling.

Production

About 4 500 bottles per year.

Conservation

Between 5 and 10 years, even more for great vintages.

Service

Around 15-16°C to preserve his aromas.

Accords

It combines well with all meats, roasted or in sauce, games and many cheeses.
