Aloxe-Corton 1er Cru
« Les Fournières »

Deep ruby; its complex nose offers a great intensity of red fruits (raspberry, strawberry and cherry) when it is young then dark fruits (blackcurrant, blackberry) after few years. In the mouth, you can find some spicy notes as pepper and nutmeg when it starts to be aged.

Situation

Located in the village of Aloxe-Corton, this vine is exposed south-east.

Terroir

The plot is composed of rich soils, pebbly and chalky, giving structured and complex wines.

Cepage

Pinot Noir.

Age vigne

45 years.

Winemaking

100% harvested by hand - Vatting time: 3/4 weeks with control of temperature and density - Ageing in oak barrels during 12 months then bottling.

Production

Around 1 000 bottles per year.

Conservation

This wine reaches its peak after 3 to 5 years in the cellar, until more than 10 years for the greatest vintages.

Service

Between 15-16°C in thin glasses; balloon-shaped, perfectly favorable to highlight aromas.

Accords

Matched with red meats, grilled or in sauce, roasted poultry or washed rind cheeses.
